Nothing exciting has happened today, unless you call a visit from the woodpecker exciting!  Fortunately, it was a failure from the woodpecker's point of view.

Initially, we wondered whether chick 4 might fly as it investigated the exit hole early in the morning.  But no such luck.  At the end of the day all three chicks were still in the box.  However, although we think most visits were from the male, both parents fed the chicks throughout the day.

A chick investigates the world outside.

Having decided its not for him, he settles on some flapping practice instead.

He decides against going outside and scuttles back to the nest cup.

Scrap thinks about showing the way.  But decided he'll go tomorrow instead.

No. 4 flaps his wings again.

Both parents visit the remaining chicks.
