Recently, the two chicks left have taken to cuddling up together next to the front wall of the box - a dangerous position if the woodpecker returns. Now, though, they return to the nest cup for a snooze.

An hour later they are ravenous again.
There is always a frenzy of feeding after we have put mealworms out in their mealworm feeder. Are they getting lazy or is there a real shortage of food? Judging by the number of bluetit site disasters this year, it could be a real food shortage!
Let's hope the chicks fly tomorrow.
