Tuesday 18th March
This type of exchange occurs repeatedly. The male enters the box, shortly to be followed by the female which unceremoniously evicts the male. We wonder who's in charge, the male or the female? If its anything like human relationships, they probably both think they are!
"What are you doing in my box", says Fantail. "I'm on my way", says Fred.
Here Fantail shows us why we gave her that name.
Another exchange.
"Well, just a little look - then off you go."
Then Fantail gives another wriggle to assert her ownership of the nest box.
Wednesday 19th March
Birds are just plain fussy - obviously Fantail has too much time on her hands.
"Perhaps I need a bit of straw here?"
"I don't like this hay here after all."
"Maybe we need some more moss?"
Then two more pieces of hay were brought in!
"He's always interfering!!"
"No - I don't want this, it doesn't fit the decor!"
Has Fluffy been attacking the tube up top again? It certainly looks like it!
