At
7.38pm Kelly enters the box. It is now getting fairly dark and she
must have decided to start roosting in her box. This is normally a
sign that she thinks that the nest is ready for egg laying - although this
may not happen for some days yet.
She
immediately settles down and here she looks ready for a bit of shut eye!
We
think this is Boris coming to check that all is well. We think that
they will be exchanging calls but unfortunately we cannot record the sounds
they make.
Over
15 minutes later, we suddenly wake up to the fact that Kelly has tucked down
for the night - and we have left the light on!
We promptly turn it off.
Two
and a half hours later, we take a quick peek to confirm that Kelly is indeed
roosting - and she is - her first night in the box this year!
