It's
now late afternoon and Kate has come in after a gap - does she think it's
time to roost for the night.
She
tries to settle down - but she is a restless as ever. She wriggles and
fidgets and just can't keep still.
She
nearly gets buried when she does a nesting wriggle!
She
has managed to end up with a white feather on her back.
Now
it's on her head!
I
think it's stuck there. She can't seem to get rid of it - not that she
is trying very hard!
That's
it! She decides she can't take any more - which gives us an
opportunity to see her eggs properly for the first time since the first the
first day!Kate has 5 eggs!
This means that she has been laying one egg each day since her first.
A
better shot, perhaps, of Kate's eggs! You can see the speckles on them
just like those on Claire's eggs.
Kate's
back quite quickly. We think she will stay the night now. she
seems calmer too. She must be exhausted by the frenzy of the day!
