We've
been trying to get a good sequence of images showing a nesting wriggle for
some time, but so far, although we have captured isolated pictures like this
one, we haven't managed to get the full sequence.
For
this example, the picture above and this one were the only ones the system
captured.
Here
is another isolated picture - albeit a pretty good one! It stands by
itself in the picture record.
I'm
sure this is just a female bluetit playing with nest building.
Well,
she's brought a reasonable beakful into the nest box. What next?The answer I'm afraid was not a lot!
A
couple of minutes later she's back with more hay. However, a few
minutes later the box is empty again!
Still,
she's doing the odd nesting wriggle so we must keep hoping we manage to
capture a good sequence soon. I'll have to try tweaking the i-Catcher
parameters again!We'll get a good sequence eventually!
