This doesn't look like just messing about to me. This looks serious!

Scruffy is back with a fair amount of nesting material. Has she found a partner? Or is it just the bird equivalent of a phantom pregnancy?

In fact, it's quite a big load of moss.

As usual, she appears reluctant to part with it.

By the end of the day, Scruffy has accumulated a significant amount of moss in Box2.

Ella's nest is still much the same.  But that's not surprising as it is complete!

I think this cold weather must have slowed things down for Ella.  There is no sign of any eggs yet.

Again, little change for Ella.

There's not a lot different in Box2 either.

Three days have passed, but there is still no more nesting material in Box2.

Scruffy keeps on visiting though.

Well, Scruffy is clearly serious about owning Box2. Here she is doing a full blown nesting wriggle in it.

Still no sign of an egg in Box1!

In spite of the nesting wriggle, at the end of the day there is no more nesting material in Box2.

This looks as though some progress has been made - but not a lot!
